Play is not actually optional for children - it's essential for developing SOCIAL SKILLS!

More than ever, it is important for young learners to receive a high-quality early childhood education to ensure success in school and life. Preschool is the foundation to education and can foster a lifelong love of learning. Preschool also provides important social and emotional developmental experiences that are critical to creating better outcomes for children.

Our preschool was created due to the shift in young children. Society has changed in the last 20 years. Children are playing less and less outside and playing more with technology. Young children need 2-3 hours per day of active play to achieve adequate sensory stimulation for healthy development. Learning ABC's is a wonderful part of preschool, but we want to provide more. More sensory stimulation. More outside time. More exploration. More PLAY!

Play to Learn

Our school transforms academics by making learning more playful. For example, in a wooded area near our school, students are free to take risks in an unstructured environment. Perhaps building structures from tarps, planks, and tires, exploring the landscape, fighting trolls, creating fairy gardens—while teachers observe from a distance.

Once students arrive back in classrooms, the perseverance, independence, and resourcefulness the children developed while at play improves their focus and their academic work, as they dive into hands-on, student-directed learning initiatives.

Our Philosophy

Our curriculum is based on the Science of Reading Research. It is intended to build a deep and wide knowledge base in various fields of science, literature, history, and the arts.  We teach systematic phonics instruction, alongside a high-quality knowledge building ELA curriculum.

Typical US classrooms spend very little time on science and social studies. The time spent during language arts / literacy must build knowledge. Our curriculum is very different than the commonly used "balanced literacy" approach that you may find in many classrooms.  We truly believe that knowledge matters, especially in early education.

Our Preschool Programs

• Pre-Kindergarten Program (4-yrs to 5-yrs. old)
• Preschool Program (3-yrs to 4.5-yrs. old)
• Toddler Program (18 months to 3 yrs. old)
• Younger Toddler Program (12 months to 18 months old)
• Infant Program (6-weeks to 12 months old)
